Once Christmas is over every gardener turns their thoughts towards the season to come, don’t they?

At the allotments it could be crop rotation and forward planning what is going where, but for me the most exciting part is getting the seeds together that I want to plant this year.

I’m even trying technology to help me lay out my plot! Although, I’m finding you really can’t knock pen and paper!

I am going into my third year of allotment rental and feel like I’m starting to understand (what I think) I should be doing!

For me, choosing seeds is delightful because I can experiment with growing those delights I just can’t buy in the farm shops or supermarkets!

I recently Remarked on Twitter that I was writing my plant labels out and I added this picture.

One follower asked

“How many tomatoes ‘I‘ could possibly need?“ My answer is simple, “One can never have enough varieties of tomatoes!”

if you haven’t ever grown them before there is nothing as satisfying (if you like tomatoes) than picking them direct from the vine warmed by the sun. I defy you not to eat them there and then.
